I have edited the movie as far as I can go without the missing scenes I hope to shoot in a couple of weeks.
Next week the dead alien body gets finished and the wardrobe.
Once the new scenes are shot they will be cut in and the CGI of the crash site added. This will finish the film.

We are all cut and only missing a few scenes. We hope to shoot these remaining scenes on a weekend soon. It will only be a matter of cutting them in and the film is finished.

Composites are coming along well. Here's a couple of images from Digital Fusion putting Hawk in the driver's seat. Lots more to come. It's good to be back!
Thanks to JCM, Roger Leir and New Egg I'm back to editing again and making green screen composites. Thanks to everyone that helped me get the new system.

Starting the week of December 7th, Pearl Harbor day, I will be starting back on the finishing of the green screen composites and editing of Foo Fighters at long last. Gilly is up and about and things are getting back to normal.
Unfortunately during the last 4 months I lost one of my work stations. I didn't lose data as everything is backed up and backed up again. But it will slow down the progression to finish.
We are currently seeking further donations so we can afford another work station PC. Please if you can help, go to the donations section and help out. It's my hope to finish this movie March of 2010.

We had a very good day today and shot all the remaining scenes between Hawk and McGowan. It took a 16 hour day but we got it. I will post pictures, frame grabs and soon a new trailer for part two of Foo Fighters which is the final 1 hour. There will be no part 3. Check back soon for the updates.

Sorry for the lack of updates but this has been due to my heavy work schedule on Foo fighters. To date I have logged over 60 shots of CGI. the entire battle sequence between Hawks planes and the Foo fighters is done!
I am now working on the end sequence of CGI effects. On the 27th of June we shoot the final green screen of the pilots in their cockpits. We are moving along and check back soon for updates in the screen grab sections.

Lots more CGI done. I am closing on the bulk of it. Over a 100 shots to date.
Made some background aliens and started scenes inside their craft. To see frame grab updates visit the Alien section and the Frame Grabs Part Two sections and scroll down.
In about 4 weeks time we shoot the final live action. We are over an hour in the can with this film.
Sorry to be slow on updates but I can assure you we are moving forward everyday at finishing this movie and will have an hour and a half feature film when done.
Keep in mine I'm the Director, editor and effects artist-producer on this film. So if I'm a bit slow to update it's because of my heavy work load. This film will be finished soon! Thanks to all of you that have supported our effort. Both friends, family and people I have never met.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately but I've been doing nothing but CGI of the end screens inside the Alien ship. Long hours and lots of rendering.
Now that I have finished all the CGI I can until we shoot the last of the live action I have moved onto the Green Screen we shot a awhile back of the Pilots in their cockpits. This time we see them from the outside as well as different angles inside the planes. It took awhile to figure out how to get wide shots of the CGI Mustangs and them behind the canopy but thanks to Lightwave and Digital Fusion it came out very well and adds a great deal of depth to our production value.
Soon as I finish these comps I'll be making the long theatrical trailer for the film.

The project is on hold for the next 6-7 weeks. My wife has badly broken her foot and this has delayed my work on editing and further CGI for now.

I have edited to date up to an hour of the movie. It is going well but there’s much left to do of course. 90 % of the CGI is cut in. I will have the end of the movie cut tomorrow. We will do the last two days of live action shooting soon to fill in the few SCENE MISSING black holes.
